Spring Cottage, Blackawton, 2 Bed Cottage with Swimming Pools

Lovely stay in sunny Devon Positive: Lovely cottage, great location, loved the outside pool. Nice and relaxing and quiet. Lucky with the weather. The cottage had good facilities. Beds very comfortable. Negative: The shower pressure was very poor. No drinking water for 2 days, couldn't run dishwasher as no cold water. However the agent was very good and gave us a crate of water bottles. They did what they could and then gave us money to eat out on our last day! Tennis courts in poor condition surface needs renewing. Could not use snooker table as my kids are not 16.

Positive: Everything- lovely cottage, facilities, swimming pools and grounds - location close to beaches was fab too Negative: The shower pressure and shower in general was the only thing that was not great.

Positive: The facilities at the property are great. We were lucky enough to stay during a period of good weather and the pool was wonderful, and not busy at the times we used it. The location is remote, as expected, but we found it to be a good spot for exploring the area. Negative: Unfortunately we found the apartment itself to have a really musty smell and it felt damp. After a few days of hot weather the damp got worse and we asked to be moved elsewhere, which was accommodated. It’s a shame because it was otherwise a nice place. I don’t know if the damp was worse because of the humidity but being pregnant I did not feel able to stay there.

Very pleasant. Lovely setting. Positive: The keypad was a little tricky and didn’t always close securely behind us.
